Here are some possible reasons why your ecobee room sensor might be unavailable

1. The battery is low.

The ecobee room sensor is powered by a single 3 Volt CR-2032 battery. If the battery is low, the sensor will not be able to communicate with the thermostat.

2. The sensor is too far from the thermostat.

The ecobee room sensor has a range of 45 feet. If the sensor is more than 45 feet from the thermostat, it will not be able to communicate with it.

3. There is interference from environmental factors.

The ecobee room sensor uses a 915MHz frequency to communicate with the thermostat. If there is interference from other devices that are using the same frequency, such as a baby monitor or cordless phone, the sensor will not be able to communicate with the thermostat.

4. The sensor is not properly installed.

The ecobee room sensor must be installed in a location where it will not be blocked by furniture or other objects. It is also important to make sure that the sensor is facing the correct direction.

5. The sensor is damaged.

If the ecobee room sensor is damaged, it will not be able to communicate with the thermostat.

If you have checked all of the above and the ecobee room sensor is still unavailable, you may need to contact ecobee support for further assistance.
