The yellow light on your ecobee is a notification light. It means that you have a new notification from Alexa. To check your notification and get rid of the flashing green light, say, “Alexa, what did I miss?” or “Alexa, delete all of my notifications” to your ecobee thermostat.

If you’re not sure what the notification is about, you can also check the Alexa app on your phone. To do this, open the app and tap on the “Notifications” tab. You’ll see a list of all of your recent notifications, including the ones that are causing the yellow light on your ecobee.

If you have any questions about your Alexa notifications, you can always contact Amazon customer support. They’ll be able to help you figure out what the notification is about and how to deal with it.

Here are some other things that can cause the yellow light on your ecobee to flash

  • Your ecobee is not connected to Wi-Fi.
  • Your ecobee is not properly configured.
  • There is a problem with your ecobee’s hardware.

If you’ve checked all of the above and your ecobee is still flashing yellow, you may need to contact ecobee customer support for further assistance.
