There are a few reasons why your ecobee might be connected to Wi-Fi but not to the server. Here are some of the most common reasons and some troubleshooting tips:

1. Your ecobee might not be able to get an IP address from your router.

This can happen if there is a problem with your router’s DHCP server. To check if this is the problem, try connecting another device to your Wi-Fi network and see if it can get an IP address. If it can, then the problem is likely with your ecobee.

2. Your ecobee might be using the wrong IP address.

This can happen if your ecobee’s settings have been changed or if your router has been assigned a new IP address. To check if this is the problem, try logging into your ecobee’s web interface and checking the IP address that is listed there. If it is not the same as the IP address that is assigned to your router, then you will need to update your ecobee’s settings.

3. Your ecobee might be blocked by a firewall.

This can happen if your router or firewall is configured to block traffic from ecobee’s servers. To check if this is the problem, try disabling your firewall and see if your ecobee is able to connect to the server. If it is, then you will need to configure your firewall to allow traffic from ecobee’s servers.

4. Your ecobee might be experiencing a technical issue.

If you have tried all of the above troubleshooting tips and your ecobee is still not able to connect to the server, then it is possible that your ecobee is experiencing a technical issue. In this case, you will need to contact ecobee support for further assistance.
