As an apple user, you usually have syncing issues with apps on your Apple device. Fitbit is such an app that users must consider syncing with Apple Health. We have found answers to that question and want to guide you on the Fitbit syncing with apple health.

Can Fitbit Sync With Apple Health?

Of course, you can sync your Fitbit device with Apple health. You may find several apps on App Store, and all you have to do is install one of them and enjoy Fitbit with Apple.

Why should you sync your Fitbit watch with Apple health?

We found two main reasons why Apple users tried to sync the Fitbit watch with the Apple Health app.

To Avoid The Higher Price of Apple Watch

You must know that the Apple watch is a massive cost you have to bear. We found that the price of the least Apple watch is around $1759 in the market.

When it comes to the price, you have to pay just $300 for a new watch. If you can sync Fitbit data to your Apple phone instead of an Apple watch, that will save more than $1400.

Apple Health App Delivers More Features

Also, Apple health is a great app that delivers several benefits. It processes and shows you information related to step counting, sleep duration, running distance, food intake, body weight, and more.

When compared to the typical Fitbit app on your Apple phone with Apple Health, you will find the Apple Health app is the best one.

Note: We checked the Fitbit watch using Apple health and found that only the following data can be transferred to the Apple health app.

  • Calories you have Burned
  • Sleep duration
  • Flights you have had
  • Your daily Steps count
  • Your Heart Rate
  • Weight
  • Distance of Walking and Running

How To Sync Fitbit With Apple Health?

As we understood, the easiest way to sync your Fitbit watch with the Apple Health app is to use a third-party app. The app we tried was PowerSync App which we found the most effective app with zero errors.

Here is how you can do that

  • Install the PowerSync App from the App store and open it.
  • You must click the “Sync Now” button, which is located at the top of the screen.
  • sync fitbit data with apple health
  • You must enter your Fitbit account details and tap on “login.”

We found this article from Fitbit’s official website that explains how to create a Fitbit account and connect the device to it.

  • As the next step, you will have to agree to the reading and writing permissions required by the app.
  • grant power sync access to various permissions
  • After hitting continue, you will move to an interface that displays the metrics you want to sync with Apple health.

Note: We recommend you tap on “Turn on All” to enable every metric synced. That will enable a better experience for you.

  • You must tap “Allow” to save your preferences.
  • You have just synced data between your Fitbit smartwatch and the Apple Health app. You will receive a message after finishing the syncing.
  • You must open the Apple Health app, and then you will see that synced data has included in the interface.

Note: You don’t have to follow the same steps in the future as you have completed the login and authorization from the PowerSync app. It will be enough just to use “Sync Now” to sync data.

How can I avoid data duplication?

When you commence data syncing between Fitbit and Apple health, there can be a data duplication process. You may see data that have come from multiple sources.

For example, you will see the steps counted by iPhone and the Fitbit smartwatch collectively. You must avoid this and this, and you must set Power Sync as the primary source of data in the Health App.

Here are the steps you must follow

  • Open Health App.
  • Tap on the browse tab
  • Hit on Steps and put the tick on Power Sync.
  • Get to the Data Sources & Access at the bottom of the screen.
  • Tap on the Edit button on the top of the screen, and you must hit a long-press on the dragger in the Data Sources and shift it to the top of the list.
