For setup and operation, your device must be connected to a Wifi network. It may require a subscription to some content.  Here’s a step-by-step guide to connecting your device to WiFi.

Step 1: Make sure your device is powered. It should come with a power cord. Plug the power cord into the back of the device.

This will activate the Google Assistant. Then, you can ask it any question you want. When using a WiFi network, you can ask about the current time. The Google Assistant will tell you whether your device is connected to the WiFi network.

Step 2: Connect the Google Home Mini to the same Wi-Fi network as your Google Home. In case you don’t know which network your device is connected to, you can open the Google Home app on your Android phone and select the network associated with your device.

And when you can’t connect the device to the same Wi-Fi network, choose “Forget Network” in order to make it work.

Step 3: You can use a few simple fixes. If the simple fixes don’t work, you can try more serious ones. First, make sure to update the Google Home app. If your phone has the latest version of Android, it should be on 6.0 or higher.

Another easy fix is to force close the Google Home app. If the two methods don’t work, you can try putting your phone into airplane mode or manually turning on WiFi.

Step 4: Simply unplug the device from its power source and wait for at least two minutes before trying to reconnect it. If the problem still persists, you can perform a factory data reset. This will erase all the software on your gadget and restore it to its original settings.

Note: This smart speaker can do a lot of things, including playing music, adding to your shopping list, answering trivia questions, and controlling smart home devices. There are many other voice-controlled speakers on the market, but the Home Mini stands out from the crowd because of its massive number of features, price, and size.

Why won’t Google home mini connect to Wifi?

The common cause of Google Home Mini not connecting to WiFi is the lack of available bandwidth. This problem can arise when too many devices share the same WiFi network or when a device is performing a data-intensive task.

In this case, you may need to upgrade your router’s antenna and test mesh networks. When it fails, contact Google Home support for assistance. Make sure you explain the process and the solution to avoid making matters worse.

The Google Home Mini works better when located near the router. It can sometimes be affected by poor signal strength if the home’s Wifi is not strong enough.

One permanent solution is to move the router to a central location away from walls and other electronics. Wi-Fi routers are necessary to connect other devices to the internet, and the home’s Wi-Fi signal strength is a factor.
